Our February Youth Musical Theatre Celebration!

Following the incredible response to our first Summer Youth Musical, We Will Rock You, Evento Creative Arts Academy returns with a brand-new opportunity for young people aged 15–21.

The Magic of the Musicals is our new February musical theatre celebration, bringing together a company of young performers for an evening packed with some of the greatest songs, dances and moments from musical theatre.

From big ensemble numbers to solos, duets and featured performances, the show will celebrate musicals from across the years in one fully staged production.

So, What Is The Magic of the Musicals?

Unlike our main Summer Youth Musical, The Magic of the Musicals won't tell one story from beginning to end.

Instead, we'll create an entire show from songs and performances from a variety of musicals, bringing them together with choreography, staging, lighting, costumes and all the energy of a full Evento production.

Think big company numbers, brilliant musical theatre songs, featured singers, dance, harmonies and a company of young people creating something together.

It will be a smaller company than our August production, allowing us to create a different experience while keeping everything that made our first Youth Musical so special, creativity, confidence, friendships and the opportunity to perform as part of a company.

A New Part of Our Youth Musical Programme!

The Magic of the Musicals will become our mid-season celebration, taking place each February as we build towards our main Summer Youth Musical every August.

It means there will now be two major opportunities throughout the year for young people to get involved with Evento Creative Arts Academy, each with its own format and experience.

And there's one other tradition we're starting…

On the final night of The Magic of the Musicals, we'll reveal our next Summer Youth Musical!

So yes… you'll have to wait until February to find out what's coming in August!

How Can I Get Involved?

The production is open to young people aged 15–21, and we'll be looking for both performers and backstage crew.

There will be an audition/workshop process for performers, but because this isn't a traditional book musical, we won't simply be casting a list of lead characters.

Instead, we'll be looking for a company of performers alongside featured vocalists and performers who will lead individual songs and numbers throughout the show.

You don't need to have been involved in We Will Rock You to take part. New faces are very welcome!

Halloween Intensive

Before the audition process begins, we're planning a special Halloween Musical Theatre Intensive.

This will be a full-day opportunity to get back in the room, sing, dance, perform and experience the kind of work we'll be doing for The Magic of the Musicals.

The Intensive will be open to both returning and new participants, with full details coming soon.

Rehearsals & Performances

As this production takes place during the school year, rehearsals will primarily take place at weekends, with the schedule designed around school and college commitments as much as possible.
